Taking shape...

Frosted Flurry is beginning to take shape around here! It's been weird trying to get my head thinking Christmas/wintery thoughts with Thanksgiving just around the corner still! But, I did find some fabric tonight that I just adore! I think it looks like something my partner would really like, and I gotta admit, I think I am gonna have to go back for the Christmas tree fabric for myself!  I have some tuck-in ideas that I want to make, but I am not quite sure of my word yet. I was hoping my fabric would be an inspiration. I tend to create as I go, rather than make a set plan before. I love everyone's ideas for the words, I will have to look around again. Was it hard for anyone else to come up with a word?

Oh ya! I almost forgot! I picked up this cute photo box that I thought would be fun to wrap my swap package in! I mean, it's cute and functional - You gotta love that!

  1. I'm loving the color combos!

As for the tuck-ins, I started with what I knew I really wanted to make, the oven mitt, and the went from there. I found a great pair of socks and then I knew SNOW would be my word. It's fairly easy to stretch anyword to fit what you've bought with a little imagination. Maybe the box could be S for "Storage" and you could go from there!

  3. I love your fabrics! I originally picked the red version of the trees, never saw the one you have.
This is my first swap and the words are really tough. Since my partner has kids and they are usually the focus at Christmas, i think i am going to use "Children". The "I" was the hardest, but I plan to use "imagination" and tuck in a huge colorful scarf for each child. They are great for story telling.

Until it goes in the mail, I reserve the right to change my mind.

  5. I love the colors of your fabric also. Mostly you see reds and greens so the blue is a nice change .. kinda vintage looking! Super Duper cute!
I'm all done, got my tuck ins and I'll be mailing after Thanksgiving. With so much Christmas so early, I think everyone looses sight of Thanksgiving and remembering to be thankful for what they have.
