Apron from Bree

I went to Quilt Market and was gone for about 10 days. When I got home late Thursday night, I found my Apron package from Bree. I love the fabric and the tuck-ins are wonderful.

Since I don't have Bree's email address, I hope she will see this. Thank you so much!

WOW, special pricing on apron patterns!

Oh swappers, do I have a surprise for you!  THE Jan Lutz, The Apron Lady, has made us a special deal.  She is the designer of one of my favorite apron patterns, the Spring Fling apron!  I've used this pattern in so many swaps, that I finally took a break but the name must have "stuck" hence our current swap theme.  Anyway, Jan will make available a limited number of the Spring Fling Apron Pattern at only $7 each (regularly $10.95), for FAS swappers only.

If you would be interested, please comment below so I can let Jan know how many to reserve in her Etsy shop at this special price.  We're still trying to work out the logistics, but I know a few of you are still trying to decide on a pattern so I thought I could help ya!

Please reply by April 23.  Thanks!!   Oh, and go mark her shop as a Favorite as thanks!

My Apron Fabric

Just thought I would share the fabric I bought to make my apron out of. I hope my partner likes it.

I am still undecided on the pattern. I have two patterns that I really like and will decide soon.

Fabrics Chosen

These are the fabrics I've chosen for the spring fling apron. I'm not sure if my partner will like them, but I hope so. I bought the Sunday Dinner apron pattern and thought I might try it,however I may change my mind. Time will tell. Now I need to get my fabric washed so I can get started.

Moose Haves Giveaway

Isn't that the cutest name for an Etsy Shop ... Moose Haves?!?  For our first giveaway, I'm excited to present these adorable Spring Fling Egg Cup Pincushions to assist with your sewing needs.

The lucky winner will win ONE similar to these beauties!

Here's a bit about our sponsor...

My name is Nicole Wall. I am a wife to the most loving and wild mountain man this side of the Yukon and am a mother of two cute cubs:):).
It was last year in May when I was about to celebrate my 25th birthday when I began this "reinvention" of myself. I got my hair done in a spring time blonde, I got a computer, and REALLY began hoarding fabric and other crafting tools.
Etsy had been a place for me as a shopper since 2006. I had always wanted a shop I WAS reinventing myself... so In May of 2010 I put the two together and moosehaves was born!
It started out small with covered button hairties and accessories, then it moved on to toddler aprons and pillowcase dresses to felt birdie ornaments to jewelry and pincushions. The list of handmades grows...
Being crafty did not come over night and organizing what it was I really wanted to see and share did'nt either. But now with excellent family support and inspiration new ideas do indeed come! (quickly)
I am sooo happy to share a giveaway prize! Your'e all welcome to my shop anytime where you can see what Im up to and how a small mountain mama is progressing through fun, functional or just too darn cute must haves (moosehaves) fur the cute and wild!
Thank you!:) and happy spring, happy trails!
-Nicole W.

Now is the time to register for the next round of the Flirty Apron Swap.  If you love to sew cute and flirty aprons, this swap is for YOU!!  I cannot believe how fast winter flew by, and today is the first FULL DAY of spring.  Now, I know in some parts of the country, the weather still feels very cold and dreary.  So, let's brighten things up with a swap!

Spring Fling Flirty Apron Swap
Deadline to Register:  March 31
NEW FAS Swappers Mail to Shawnee before:  April 21
All Others Mail After:  April 22
Mail Before:  April 30

Create a handmade "Spring Fling" apron – a special apron that has something on it related to a springtime theme – flowers, a cleaning apron, Easter,  or gardening.  In addition to the apron, please tuck-in three little gifts with your box, one for each letter of your partner's initials.

Items must be handcrafted, new from the store, or thrifted (but only if they are in “better than new” condition). Plan on spending a minimum of $10 on tuck-ins in addition to your apron and postage (boxes MUST be sent 2-day priority w/tracking). Then, make this a special box – gift wrapping, bows, the whole nine yards!

Include a note identifying yourself with your email and blog address so your partner can contact you with her grateful thanks.

SORRY, REGISTRATION IS CLOSED

This is a short sign-up window, so I've got goodies for early registrants and those who share the info.
