Red ,White ,Blue and Flirty Too.

Here it is on the way to it's new home... I hope she likes it because it sure was intimatating to make it for my sweet partner. The aprons she makes are sew Delightful!!! I was a little scared that mine might not be good enough. But as i always tell my children do your best and thats what I did.. So I am off to the post office!!!!

It's my Lucky Duck Day!

I received a package full of goodies from Quirky Kim today--she posted pictures of her daughter modelling the apron before she mailed it. It's so cute, I can't thank her enough!

Whew!! Mine is done!

Here is the "star" of the show. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. The pattern I used is the Flirty Skirty Apron Pattern, by designer Jan Lutz. The ric- rac is navy blue. The fabric is Moda Red, White and Bold. I plan to get the apron and accompanying goodies wrapped up and to the post office tomorrow!

A little peek

I finally have everything together and am going strong on finishing my apron. Although my pattern is simple, I always have to make things a bit more complicated, to add that special something. I think it is going well. Can't wait to finish it off so I can send to my partner. Here is a little looksie. Have a great week everyone!

Flirty Fireworks

Edited: Here's my coworker posing in the Flirty Fireworks. I like the shape of it once it is on.
Here's the apron I've created for my partner. I enjoyed making this pattern so much! I DO wish I had a dressform, because hanging my aprons on my furnace just isn't cutting it.

It's a Simplicity 3752, View A, and just went together so smoothly. I made a second one at the same time in different fabrics and it looks entirely different. I made mine with contrasting neck ties, waist band and waist ties where the pattern called for all one fabric. I just need to finish some matching gloves, tuck in the napkins I've purchased and write about our summer celebrations!!
