I'm a terrible "waiter" :)

I don't know about the rest of you, but I am  really bad at waiting! I'm so excited about this Fall swap and I can't wait to get my partner's info!  I know I have to wait because I want her apron to be perfect for her. So today I actually made myself a fall apron!  How about you ladies? Is anyone out there working on fun fall projects (aprons or other things) that you can share with the rest of us while we all wait? Shawnee.....Thanks so much for doing what you do!

  1. I just made an apron for a friend because I hate waiting too! Next week is all about UFOs for me. But I hope to squeez in another apron and some market bags for a friend.

  2. I haven't started my projects yet but I will be doing a wedding corset for a friend and a new regency style corset (for me) for a 'How Austentatious!' fashion show and then wearing said outfit to the Jane Austen Regency Tea in Dec. Can't wait!
I may make a Dickens' Christmas Faire outfit too since I have all the underthings completed.
I may make myself a new Halloween outfit too......Ben Franklin or I just may be my pirate that I did for vbs.
Oh, and two baby blankets for October babies..one girl, one boy.

  4. I'm making cupcake themed aprons today to sell at my cake club tomorrow, and my husband has it in his head that he wants me to make pajama pants - he even bought me the material, but I've only made aprons! LOL This should be interesting!

  6. How bout posting some pictures? I'd love to see what the UFO's are all about and Regena.....where are you going to find the time for all of that? Paula are you using a pattern or did you make your own? And Missy....what in the world is a "cake club"??? I want some cake! Don't worry about the pajama pants, they are super easy :)

  7. Karen, after re-reading what I wrote, I just will. The new costume for me is not a priority, but a new corset is.And I only need to have the wedding corset ready enough for a first fitting...piece-o-cake. LOL Guess it means less blogging and facebook and scrabble and more "constructive" use of my time. That isn't even all of it. My reunion is next weekend and I need to have two phantom sock monkeys done to take with me. LOL

And Missy, cake does sound really good!!!

  11. I have made several aprons just to keep busy before the next swap, and have given them to all of my neighbors. But mostly I have been busy making centerpieces for my Son's wedding. They turned out beautifully. Made out of institutional sized vegie cans. I spray painted them brown, then hot glued pussy willow stems all around the cans. That took some time...Next I glued 4 inch brown ribbon and 2 1/2 inch green ribbon on top of each other around the center of the can. On top of the ribbon I tied raffia, the neutral color. Then I hot glued a very small clay pot trimmed with green ribbon around the rim. Around the pot I glued fall colored leaves and dried berries. They turned out great. I am putting Mum plants inside the cans in assorted colors.
This is going to be a great wedding.

My husband Joe and my daughter Liz and I are going to provide the music for most of the service.

I can't wait to get the info on my partner so I can start her very special Apron. I plan to go all out. Lucky you, to who ever you are!!!!!
