Off to it's new home!

I shipped out my apron today!! I can't wait for my parnter to get it. I took a few photos but will leave the rest as a surprise.
I had been wanting to try this pattern for a while. It was a challenge but I had a good time making it. I have a love/hate relationship with bias tape. I ended up with only mild steam burns and a few hundred pin pricks in my fingers from applying it all. It was totally worth it though.

I also made 12 of these fun Halloween cupcake wrappers.

  1. I always wanted to try that style and have two patterns. The thought of all that tape intimidates me though. Love the fabric combination.

  4. Kudos: I still haven't perfected the scalloped bias tape -- my edges always twist and turn when I try that.

  5. I love the colors and the scallops on this apron. The bias binding looks fabulous. I, too, love bias binding but have a tough time working with it. The results are definitely worth it though. The cupcake wrappers are way too cute!!!

  8. I am so glad that other people have a bias tape phobia! I have some pieces that my mother made and they are perfect! Mine are not, so swappers not to worry I did not attempt on the apron I mailed!!

  9. I've always wanted to make that style of apron, but I too am in the bias tape phobic club. At least involving things I'd make for someone else. I have no idea how to do that. Your apron is gorgeous!
