Re-Purposing an Oops!

My daughter had given me one of her dresses to fix the spaghetti strap on, but I accidentally dropped the iron onto the silk skirt, ruining it as a dress. When the Holiday Hostess swap was announced, I immediately thought of that dress. Wouldn't it be cute, flirty and fun as an apron? So off to our little craft store I went, coming home with bags laden with pink silk, ribbon, shiny baubles and matching silk thread. Hopefully my fingers can turn out the swingy shiny apron that I have envisioned.
Now enough chattering ~ I'm off to sew...

I recently was making a dress for my granddaughter and during the pinning and cutting realized to late, I didn't have enough fabric. Since the fabric was an old sheet that had an awesome print, I was bummed. I was getting ready to toss it when my oldest granddaughter told me it was pretty enough for her sister to have an apron.
    I see a future Apronista!
