It was a blast!
It was also a challenge. My swap partner (without revealing too much) didn't describe herself as a "girly," lacy type girl. I wanted to make a practical yet fun apron though. Here's what resulted.........
I used a vintage pattern with a sweet bib and a sorta swingy skirt. And rick-rack. As EllynAnne Geisel says - one can nevah have enough rick-rack!
I hope my swap partner likes what I made and enjoys the gifty things. (Did anyone else have trouble finding actual Lucy items?)
Thank you again to Shawnee for Hostessing all of this. Can't wait til the next one!

I improvised on the "Lucy" items. I preferred more stuff to fill it up, than just one Lucy item from Etsy (that probably would have been more then $15 for just the one thing).
ReplyDeleteThat's a really cute apron. I bet she'll love it!
Looks great from this angle ... and my extra items will be kind of funny ... I'm not sure what people like so that is the hardest part!
ReplyDeleteLove the apron! And yes, finding Lucy related was very time consuming, something I didn't have.
