Hi ladies,
What an amazing swap! I believe we have just one or two more aprons still flying around so I don't have a new theme to post yet. BUT I've LOVED this one!!!
I do have a favor -- I've been selected on my personal blog to work with Crocs shoes to help them share the excitement on their NEW Toning shoes. If you have a facebook or twitter account, will you please stop by my blog and enter my giveaway? It's only open through midnight on the 27th, and I'd really like a lot of entries to show my appreciation to Crocs! Go HERE to check it out and GOOD LUCK.
I'm also looking for your suggestions for our next apron swap theme. Leave your ideas in comments below; can't wait!!
This was so much fun! Thanks you!! I saw lots of full aprons...maybe we could do a 1/2 apron only swap? Spring Fling? (flowers, ladybugs and butterflies??) Silly Frilly?
ReplyDeleteMy only idea for spring is a "spring cleaning" type swap - maybe tool type aprons w/ pockets to put all of the crap we find laying around the house as we clean. Or a gardening tool apron.
ReplyDeleteThis one was fun. I like the spring cleaning idea. Over on hot mama swap we got to know our partners before we swap. I got to know her personality and her likes and dislikes. What if we do a swappers choice. Use the name tuck in idea. Personalized and personal. :0)
ReplyDeleteI am a huge gardening freak, but not everyone has time for gardening. I am all for some type of Spring Cleaning apron swap...I'm in for anything!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the ideas, but I don't have a garden. What about a more general SPRING...people can interpret however they want, birds, butterflies, flowers, Easter eggs, gardening, cleaning.... Something Bright
ReplyDeleteMarch is Women's month. It would be fun to make aprons from earlier generations or a theme around women!!
ReplyDeleteI like the Women's idea. I think it would be fun to do an apron from an earlier generation or a woman's theme.
ReplyDeleteTheir is cute fabric out there with bras and panties, vintage apron fabric, lipstick and makeup...
All the above are great ideas and I'd do any of them. Maybe a Victorian tea party theme?
ReplyDeleteI have to say that I am not turned on by the half apron as I am so short that my boobs are at cabinet level so I get dirty very quickly. LOL I like the idea of knowing your swap partner and putting something together to fit their personality. But this is so much fun that I will not complain about the theme Just hurry :)
ReplyDeleteHi everyone! Yes, this was a fun swap with a lot of very nice aprons to see! I like the idea of a 1/2 apron swap with ladybugs, flowers, butterflies,...Spring things! I don't have a garden but love the Spring Theme! My favorite is ladybugs...I have always loved ladybugs so when you say Spring I automatically think of ladybugs!!! But, I too, will go along with whatever you decide, I just have so much fun participating! Thanks Shawnee for all your hard work! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteWow, what a fun swap that was:-)
ReplyDeleteI'd go with the Spring theme idea - there's so much fun stuff out there right now to fit that theme:-)
Can't wait to hear what's next:-)
I like holiday themes and am working on an apron for each. So how about something a theme that would work for Memorial Day/4th of July and even Labor Day.
ReplyDeleteI love songs, I think making apron based on your favorites song would be fun, I love the song "These are a few of my favortite things, I love Julie Andrews singing this song in the Sound of Music, it reminds me of spring and fresh air, and love and freinds!
ReplyDeleteJanice aka Beadgirl!
So many great ideas! I up for any of them! (although, a new "spring cleaning" apron may motivate me a bit more...!) I'm so excited for the next swap! Doesn't it become addictive?!!

I thought of another take on a "spring cleaning" apron. The spin is - the giver is the one cleaning out - so you could only use stash fabric and things around your house for tuck-ins.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Amy... well the last Amy not the one up there or the ME Amy hehe. Spring cleaning. Like they say "one mans trash is another mans treasure."
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Amys! I totally LOVE that idea! You are so smart!!! And we'd get a little cleaning done...!!!
ReplyDeleteI really love the spring cleaning idea. ANd instead of recipies what if we stick in a couple cleaning tips or cleaner recipies.
ReplyDeleteWhat about "Know your State" theme? Apron could represent the receiver's state, and tuck ins could represent the giver's state, or vice versa.
ReplyDeleteI like the spring cleaning idea, too. I also think April Showers/May Flowers...flowers and bath goodies ;) or rain...whatever ;)
