Okay...I like all of these fabrics and I can't seem to decide which to start on. Can someone please help me make that decision? Give me a reason to SEW!
The polka dots and eggs are adorable...but I have a weakness for polka dots. What kind of apron does your partner want? Easter or gardening? Both would be really cute!
I love polka dots. I also love the color combinations in the second set so I'd say the gardening set. While the eggs are cute the gardening one could be worn more throughout the year.
Oh ladies! I thank you so much for your helpful comments! That's why this group is so great....very helpful! My favorite helpful tip is from Mary Lea....to make it reversible!!! Both Spring AND Easter! I think I just may do that! Now why didn't I think of that??? I can't really tell you anything about my partner because i don't want to give anything away....like what she has asked for....colors or themes.....so I can't answer some of your questions.....sorry! but i WILL post a photo when I am done sewing and who it goes to ultimately!! Thanks again ladies! You are the best!
Oh this is to Jennifer Robin: I bought all of the gardening fabric and 3 coordinating fabrics at a local quilt shop and I'm sorry but I bought the last 2 yards of the gardening fabric....I can never leave a little on the bolt!!! The fabric is called "Mrs. Greenthumbs" by Dan Morris for RJR Fabrics in 2010. I'm sure you can find it on line and it has many coordinating fabrics. The fabrics I chose to go with it aren't in the line, I just picked them to go with it. I hope this helps if you like it enough to buy some for yourself! It really is cute in person and it has many other cute fabrics in the line! : )
let me mix it all up on ya. I like the black with the eggs and the red with with dots as a contrast. Then the gardening fabric with the chartreuse green and red dots and the dark green with black dots.
on the eggs I'd probably add in a bright blue or solid hot pink for punch.

ReplyDeleteWell...I'd just make a reversible apron...and have it both spring AND Easter!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I think the garden fabrics are so beautiful. Hope I am your partner if you choose those. Of course, the easter egg fabrics are great also.

ReplyDeleteThe gardening fabric is cute! Not sure what to put with it, but the black background one looks sort of neat.

Good luck they are all great!
