Hello apron swappers! My apron is finally ready to go. This one was a little more challenging for me. The fabric was thicker and I used a denim backing, so I had to take a bit more time putting it together. Patience truly is a virtue!
The "vintage" material is an old quilt top. The quilt squares and triangles were painstakingly sewn by hand. This is a beautiful eclectic vintage mix of fabrics!
I also included a "vintage", circa 1972, recipe book of Georgia recipes and a "vintage" linen dish towel.
My picture is a bit fuzzy, my husband made off with my digital camera this morning...of all days!!
Hopefully my partner can take a few photos and post those as well when she receives them.
ENJOY!
Great apron. Who ever get's this is a lucky lady. Great job! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I often see beautiful crib-size quilts at the thrift store. This would be a great way to reuse one of those!
