Sent and Received (and totally awesome)

On Tuesday, I sent off this fun apron...deep in the heart of...somewhere.  Hopefully my swap sister is receiving the package today (that's what the postal worker told me anyway).
I am so glad I still have more fabric.  I just loved this apron.

Then, yesterday, on a particularly depressing day (maybe overwhelming is better.....I have 3 little ones, oldest is 4, then 2 1/2, then 7 months)...our house is messy, my husband had night school right after work, I have a bunch of (commissioned) projects that aren't getting done....oh, and my kids didn't take naps yesterday.  (And I'm still dealing with post-partum depression....seriously, does it really last this long?)
When my husband got home from school, I had the boys all ready for bed because I was exhausted and done.  My dear husband came in, we had our family scripture and prayer time together, then he put the little guys to bed, and I went back downstairs to see........AND AWESOME PACKAGE!!!!

Seriously the delivery guy must have knocked on my door one of the times I was screaming at my kids, because our house is small, and I can hear a knock on the door from any little nook.

Thank you so much Alli.  This package really really truly made my day.  I love everything you sent to me.  The apron is gorgeous, the tuck ins are perfect (how did you know, we were running low on handsoap?)  And all of the sparkly things!
Alli spelled FROSTY with her gifts:
Frame
Red socks
Ornament(s)
Snowflake candle
Twisted Peppermint Soap
Your lighted snowman
Isn't that snowman adorable?  Alli put a little led tealight in it.  My husband thought it was pretty cool too.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!

  2. Your apron turned out adorable - I can see why you want to make another.

I hope you're having a better day! I TOTALLY understand, with a nearly 7 month old, too, and a 2 and 3 year old I go around most days feeling so overwhelmed and stressed that I don't know what to do with myself. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! Let me know if you ever want to talk :)

  5. Oh Sarah! I am so glad it worked out for you to get the package on a day when you needed most! I really do hope you enjoy it, and please excuse my novice-apron abilities...still learning; i.e...making mistakes, ugh. It was SO fun to put the little package together for you, and I am glad to have had the opportunity to "meet" you!
    MERRY CHRISTMAS!
